VIP Lounge Terminal 2 Los Cabos Airport Quick Review

Los Cabos Airport gate area

We were flying out of Terminal 2 at Los Cabos International Airport, where all of the international flights (mostly to the US) depart. In the terminal, there is a Priority Pass lounge called the VIP Lounge. I had low expectations after reading a couple of reviews, but in the end, this lounge was quite a pleasant place to wait for our flight.

The lounge is at the end of the international terminal down some steps or a short escalator. There was a short line, but we got in fairly quickly. Priority Pass members can bring a guest, so I just used my app even though my wife also has a membership.

There’s no natural light in the lounge, which I think is OK in this instance as it can get very hot in the area and large windows would heat up the lounge as well. It’s quite large for a priority pass lounge with a long bar and small buffet plus lots of separate seating areas around. There’s a small menu you can order from which supplements the small buffet of chips and dips and cookies. There’s also coffee and soup available at the buffet.

I tried the empanadas and a margarita and both were fine. There is table service (rather than QR Code/app ordering), but it can be a bit difficult to get someone to take your order (maybe it was just our specific waitress).

I took a few pictures of the lounge so you can see the different seating areas. The bathrooms were clean and modern. The Wi-Fi was strong as I watched a live soccer game on my phone.

Overall, the VIP Lounge was a comfortable place to wait for our flight. It was busy without feeling crowded and the food and drink isn’t going to win any awards, but it’s not bad. If you want a substantial meal before your flight, you should probably just go to a restaurant, but if a snack and a drink is OK, this lounge is quite pleasant.

We were supposed to be headed to the Alila Ventana Big Sur for our next trip, but we’ve had to cancel due to some family medical issues. Hopefully, our trip to Bali in February will still go ahead. In the meantime, I’ll have some posts about planning for 2025 elite status and other things on my mind.

  1. Here now, and apparently they no longer have empanadas (the waiter laughed at me when I asked, even though there is no menu provided anywhere). Everyone is polite and service is fine, just slow. It took about 10 mins to get a sparking water.
