After three false starts and three years of planning, we made it to Kenya for a safari trip. We’ve been having a great time and I’ll have a full trip report in many parts when I return.

You can see we have been getting up close and personal with the animals here. We’ve been mostly staying in tented camps, basically glamping. All of the places have been very nice and the food has been decent. We have had a driver/guide with us since we left Nairobi last Tuesday and he has been driving us from place to place and guiding us on game drives in each location.

We flew here on Qatar Airways and while it was great, we had a few wrinkles which I will explain in more detail in the trip report. We also stayed at a great Marriott property in Nairobi. We are flying home on KLM later this week and will be spending a few hours in Amsterdam as well.
