Amex Centurion Lounge Las Vegas Review

After I changed my flight (again) to take an 11:55pm redeye (so fun!), I decided to stop by the Vegas outpost of the American Express Centurion Lounge just to compare it to the Capital One Lounge. It’s a bit of a hike from the Delta gates in another wing of Concourse D, but it doesn’t require a tram ride or clearing security again.

The lounge was still somewhat busy when I got there at 10pm as there are tons of Vegas redeye flights to the east coast. There was no wait and the staff were very pleasant when I entered using my American Express Platinum card. The lounge is open until 11pm and still had a full dinner buffet and open bar which is nice.

I didn’t eat much there (just a cookie and an apple) as I already had eaten lunch and dinner at the Capital One Lounge. Like most Centurion Lounges, there was a salad bar, chicken thighs and veggies on the buffet.

There were some desserts on the side as well.

The staffed bar was busy with people getting their last call in before a short redeye flight.

There were plenty of seats available at that hour although the last time I was here in 2021 in the middle of the day, the lounge was absolutely jam-packed. It’s one of the older designs for Centurion with walls separating the seating areas. That keeps the noise down, but doesn’t really use space efficiently. There’s also a drink station with coffee, tea and water for those who don’t want to wait at the bar.

The restroom was not very clean compared with the Capital One Lounge. These older Amex Centurion lounges need a refresh as the furniture is getting a bit old and the newer lounges are really upping their food and beverage game. I left the lounge after about an hour, stopped at the Capital One Lounge again to use the restroom and then made my way to the gate where I (finally) got to head back to Atlanta. The newer Atlanta Centurion Lounge is much nicer than the Vegas version with an outdoor deck and whiskey bar. I would not recommend visiting this lounge if you have another available Vegas lounge option like Capital One and/or Chase.
