I flew into JFK for my court hearing in New York as it was significantly cheaper than LGA on that Sunday. As my plane parked at the A Concourse at Terminal 4, I decided to check out the new SkyClub there on arrival.
Remember that a SkyClub “visit” now includes all SkyClubs within a 24-hour period. In fact, when I checked in, the kiosk showed I had around 20 hours left in my 24-hour period. I had visited one of the SkyClubs in ATL at Concourse A before my flight.
This is a lovely space although it was quite busy at 2:30pm on a Sunday. There’s an elevated buffet compared to what you would normally see at most SkyClubs. There’s plenty of hot and cold lunch/dinner options.

There’s also a circular bar in the center of the club.

I sat at the bar, had a beer and grabbed some lunch.

This club also has a nice outdoor space with a view of some of the “heavies” that leave out of Concourse A. The patio is sort of an indoor/outdoor hybrid space with floor to ceiling windows covering part of the area. I’m not sure if they open when its warmer.

I’m not sure how busy this club gets during the week, although I suppose it’s somewhat limited to the number of Delta gates at Concourse A, which is often populated with regional jets. Now that the DeltaOne Lounge is open, SkyTeam international business class flyers won’t be visiting this lounge anymore (if they are smart).
This lounge is a welcome addition to the network, saving a long walk to the B Concourse SkyClub if you are leaving (or in my case, arriving) at Concourse A.
