We made it to the Al Mourjan Garden Lounge via the airport train on our transfer at Doha. Everything is well sign-posted at the Doha airport. The lounge is very different than the older Al Mourjan South Lounge. While that one is very sterile and museum-like, this one is a bit warmer and more like a typical business class lounge you’ll find at many major airports. There are some nice touches though, like a gym and spa, which we didn’t have time to try on this visit. There is also a lounge within a lounge. Louis Vuitton operates a restaurant/lounge for an extra cost.

This was the menu for the LV Lounge, although we didn’t go in.

We sat down in the Al Mourjan Garden Lounge restaurant area and ordered some breakfast. There was also a full buffet for those in a hurry where you could also grab fresh pastries.
The menus are available here. I ordered a vegetable omelet and my wife got the French toast.

After breakfast, we grabbed a seat for a few minutes before we headed out. I was pleased to see that unlike the other lounge, you could eat and drink at your seat. There were two sides of the lounge. One had the restaurant combined with seating areas and the other was just more seating areas. It was huge, but still a bit smaller than the other Al Mourjan lounge.

As we had limited time, I didn’t get a chance to check out the showers or the spa. I’m sure you can find a review of these online elsewhere.
We headed to our gate a bit early as there was an additional security screening. We got through that fairly quickly and waited in our Zone 1 pen for boarding.

We enjoyed our brief visit to the Al Mourjan Garden Lounge. If you have a long enough layover, you might want to get some steps in and visit both business lounges. If not, either will do the job, but we had a slight preference for the newer, more inviting Garden lounge over the original.
