I found this restaurant when I was looking for something walkable from our hotel on Friday evening that was something we couldn’t get back home. I’m sure Gordon Ramsay places are great, but they are all over the place. This restaurant is owned and run by a UK Masterchef winner who also actually works in the kitchen as well.
It’s a Michelin-starred place that also has a speakeasy downstairs where you can get interesting cocktails. The cocktail menu was also available in the restaurant along with a huge wine and champagne list.
We walked over a bit early but they were able to seat us. I don’t want to spoil too much about the experience as there were some surprises along the way. I’ll just post the food pics so you have some idea of the number of courses.

I was able to get a reservation about two weeks out which was surprising as every table was occupied and it’s a small place. The chefs actually bring the dishes to your table and explain how they are made. Adam Handling came to our table and delivered two of the dishes himself.
While it looks kind of fancy, the ingredients were mostly simple and all were from the UK. The service was mostly great except for one grumpy sommelier who I guess didn’t like our wine choices. Everyone else was friendly and provided great service. Overall though, I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s not cheap though at £195 per person plus wine.
