Podcasting About Points and Miles

There are lots of podcasts about earning points and miles. Some of my favorites are Frequent Miler, Miles To Go, Milenomics, and Miles to Memories. These podcasts sometimes include trip reports about how the hosts or guests have spent their miles on interesting airline or hotel redemptions, but for the most part, they are about earning more points and miles or news in the points and miles world about award chart changes or credit card offers.

One unique new entrant into the podcast world is Churn and Burn. The host, James, focuses on trips that use miles and points. There’s a saying in the points and miles hobby that you should earn and burn and not hoard your points and miles as things are devalued all the time. James takes this to heart and focuses specifically on the burn part of earn and burn.

I’ve appeared twice on Churn and Burn. The first time was back in April where I discussed my SE Asia trip. If you’re not up for reading a 29-part blog about the trip, the podcast sums it up in about an hour and twenty minutes. The podcast can be accessed here.

Last month, I discussed how I used points and miles to help my adult kids both see Taylor Swift in London as part of longer trips in Europe. It’s shorter (about 40 minutes) and can be accessed here.

I enjoyed speaking about these trips with James, who always asks interesting questions about the trips. He releases episodes semi-regularly. Sometimes he discusses his own family trips and sometimes he has guests like me. I recommend subscribing to Churn and Burn as you will learn a lot about interesting ways to burn points and miles.
