There are two Hyatt Regency hotels in Boston. There’s a Seaport one nearer to the airport and the regular HR Boston that is basically downtown and convenient to the North End, Boston Common, Faneuil Hall and other places you’ll want to visit. We stayed at the one downtown.
When we originally booked, it was for Monday and Tuesday nights and the cash prices were over $600 per night. I booked with Hyatt points (23k per night). We added Sunday night after we decided to attend the Pearl Jam show that night as well. For that night, the AAA cash rate was only $248 plus tax so we booked the cash rate.
We booked a regular 2-Queen room and would have been upgraded to a 2-Queen Corner room (a larger space with a sofa) after I asked if it was available in the app chat prior to check-in. The hotel has no suites with two beds, so I didn’t bother asking about a suite. When we arrived around 3pm, our corner room wasn’t quite ready, so we just took a regular room that was ready on the 9th floor.
The entrance to the hotel is on Lafayette Street, but the lobby is one level up. It was a bit annoying that there were no stairs to go up the one level, so we had to take two elevators every time we entered and exited the hotel.

The room was fairly standard with a fridge, desk, and plenty of outlets. The bathroom was small but everything worked.

Breakfast for Globalists was limited to the buffet. There was a menu for an extra charge, but we stuck to what was included. It was actually quite good, with eggs, bacon, sausages, French toast, pancakes and oatmeal, as well as a cold bar with fresh fruit, cold cuts, breads, pastries, and yogurt. There was also a made-to-order omelet bar. It was quite busy each morning. Specialty coffee drinks weren’t included with the buffet.

The hotel served our purposes for the trip. We had comfortable beds and plenty of outlets in the room to charge our devices. The hotel was convenient to the Park Street T station for easy access to Fenway Park. We were also given late checkout as late as 4pm, although we only needed until 1:30pm.
