Chase Sapphire Lounge NY LaGuardia Review

In May, we went to Brooklyn for a long weekend to watch our nieces while my brother and his wife had a weekend away. We flew up on Delta and I’m not going to review the Atlanta B SkyClub and the Delta Comfort Plus experience as I’ve done that before. On the way home though, we changed things up a bit.

Last year, I status matched from Delta to JetBlue and received their second highest Mosaic 3 status. That includes many of the same features as Delta Platinum including free checked bags, preferred seating and early boarding. It also comes with four Move to Mint certificates (I suppose these are somewhat comparable to Delta Regional or Global Upgrades) which I will try to use later this year when I go to the UK. I extended the status for all of 2024 when I got the JetBlue Plus Business credit card.

With the points from the credit card signup bonus, I needed to fly JetBlue a few times to take advantage of the status. Unfortunately, there are soon to be only three airports that JetBlue flies to from Atlanta: NY LaGuardia, NY JFK and Boston. Fort Lauderdale flights are ending soon.

I booked us a flight home from LaGuardia to Atlanta on a Sunday evening to burn some points. Given that JetBlue flies from the new Terminal B at LGA, it also gave us the chance to try out the new Chase Sapphire Lounge.

We got through security quickly and walked up and over to the lounge. The entrance is right next to the Amex Centurion Lounge (which I’ve reviewed before). Once you walk through the doorway, you have to go down an elevator to the lounge entrance.

We showed my wife’s Chase Sapphire Reserve (CSR) and Priority Pass app to enter. If you don’t have a CSR but you still have Priority Pass through another credit card, you get one free entrance per year to a Chase lounge. Currently, they are open in Boston, LGA, JFK and Washington Dulles with more planned. From what I have read, the Boston and LGA ones are a bit nicer as the other two are operated in conjunction with Etihad and save their best experience for Etihad premium guests. CSR holders get two free guests.

The lounge was very busy (although there was no line). The lower level has views of the tarmac, but there is also an upper level open to below. We found seats upstairs with charging ports in the floor.

There was a QR-code menu where you could order things like burgers, salmon and other small entrees along with some appetizers like hummus. Many of these things (and more) except the made to order items seemed to be available on the buffet downstairs.

The bar menu was interesting. You could also order drinks from your seat or from the bar.

I tried the Viaggiare. It was pretty good.

I explored a bit and found another area with drinks and snacks available.

There was also a game room with a pinball machine and spa area. I grabbed a picture of the spa menu with complimentary treatments.

My wife even stated that the lounge was really nice and she doesn’t really ever comment about lounges these days.

We enjoyed our time at the Chase Sapphire Lounge. While I don’t have any current plans to fly out of LGA Terminal B, I will be up in Boston in September and will check out the Chase lounge there for a comparison.
