Unlike the Siem Reap Food Tour, which was actually recommended by our Hanoi guide, the food tour we took in Phnom Penh was something I found through my own research and took a chance on booking. I booked with a company called Urban Forage.
The guide messaged me in WhatsApp a few hours before the tour to confirm the pickup time. We were picked up at the Hyatt Regency around 5:10pm.
Our tour guide was a young Cambodian named Jackson (I assume he actually had a Cambodian name as well.) We had five people on our tour, including a couple from Los Angeles and a digital nomad from Australia.
We made a bunch of stops, but unlike the Siem Reap tour, I didn’t get a full list of all the places. I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.

As you can see, we even tried the tarantula. I tried a leg and it basically tasted like a BBQ potato chip. There were lots of soups, noodles, meat and veggies. At the end of the tour, we went to a cocktail bar called Wild, which was basically set up in a garden-like setting. Everyone enjoyed a cocktail or two, also included in the price of the tour.

This was a great tour. We were taken to many different spots in Phnom Penh by tuk-tuk and got to sample lots of interesting Cambodian food. As I mentioned previously, we loved the BBQ stand so much, we went back the next night and ate there again.
